Waxing Advice

  • Leave 4-6 weeks between waxing.
  • Trim your hair down to 1/4 inch before a brazilian or hollywood treatment. This will make your experience allot more comfortable.
  • Ladies avoid waxing a few days before, or the first day of your menstrual cycle as your pain threshold is reduced.
  • Exfoliate regularly to avoid ingrown hairs and get a smoother finish.
  • Avoid sun beds (or any heat treatments) 24hrs before and 48hrs after waxing.
  • Do not moisturize prior to waxing treatment.

Laser Hair Removal

  • Who is it for?
    • We can effectively treat all skin types for a reduction in hair growth as long as the hair color is darker than the skin and the client is over 18 years of age. The treatment is perfect for anybody that requires hair reduction on an unwanted area. Unfortunately blonde, grey and most red hair cannot be treated due to the colour of the hair.
    How many treatments will I need?
    • We usually suggest 6-8 treatments for hair removal. Treatments are carried out every 4-6 weeks for the face and 6-8 weeks for the body.
    What happens in between treatments?
    • In between each session you will have a fall out phase; this is usually 1-3 weeks after a session. The hair sheds away and you are left with a smooth finish. A couple of weeks later the hair begins to re grow, it becomes softer, finer and is reduced by around 20% of the entire growth each time.
    How does the treatment feel?
    • The general feeling is a short, sharp heat for a split second on the skin. The sensation is quite mild.
    Do I need to take special precautions before and after treatment?
    • It is extremely important to avoid sun exposure 30 days prior to treatment commencement. Otherwise the light will be absorbed by melanin in the skin surface, making the treatment more uncomfortable and less effective. Furthermore, it is recommended to use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 30) for 4-6 weeks following the treatment.

Laser Vein Removal

  • How does the treatment work?
    • The light comes through the hand piece will be attracted to the target, the hemoglobin in the blood. As the light is absorbed a heat reaction is caused which coagulates the blood and destroys the vessel.
    How many treatments will I need?
    • You should expect up to 2-4 treatments at 4 week intervals for optimal results.
    How does it feel?
    • The sensation will vary from client to client, and depends upon the amount and size of vessels in the area. Some clients liken it to mild sunburn after the treatment.

Teeth Whitening

  • Is it for everyone?
    • Teeth Whitening gives great results to anyone who wants to whiten their teeth. This includes people with teeth that have been stained by smoking or substances like tea or coffee. Pregnant or breast feeding women or clients under 16 years of age should not receive the treatment.
    How long do results last?
    • This varies from person to person and depends on your diet, but it should usually last for about 2 years. Touches up treatments can be taken for clients that have frequently have staining foods and drinks or smoke.
    How long does the treatment take?
    • The complete procedure takes less than an hour. The procedure begins with a preparation period followed by 45 minutes of bleaching. A cleaning is recommended prior to the whitening session.
    Will it whiten my existing crown or veneers?
    • The treatment cannot change the color of porcelain crowns, veneers or fillings.
    Will it hurt?
    • A very small percentage of clients may have some temporary tooth sensitivity if having cold or hot drinks, so avoid these for the first 24 hours after treatment.

Spray Tanning Advice

  • Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!! your body before tanning treatment.
  • On day of tanning do not apply moisturizer, make up or deodorant.
  • Wear dark loose fitting clothes and sandals.
  • After showering apply moisturizer twice daily, to prolong your tan avoid long baths, hot spas and extended swimming sessions.
